My wonderful wife Carmen, the mother of our fantastic children, has worked at Mayer Brown for 25 years. She started at Gaedertz Rechtsanwälte, in between it was called Mayer Brown Rowe and Maw Gaedertz (not kidding!!) and since 2008 simply Mayer Brown. At this point, however, I would like to remind you once again that experience is an asset.
25 Years (not the song)
25 years Mayer Brown – my half live I am working there. It’s unbelievable!
Thank you Wolfgang Leip. I worked with and learned from you the first years. Dr. Johann C Gaedertz LL.M. who bring me back after maternally leave, also Daniel R. Marschollek, where I learned about counterfeit procedures and last but not least our IP practice leader Ulrich Worm for more than 13 years.
Thanks for more than 13 years to my wonderful colleague Christiane Reutlinger and also Konstantin von Werder for working close with you in trademark matters. Furthermore I am proud to work with Gail Hatcher and William Siegel from our office in Chicago.
Thanks Jon Van Gorp for his warm words from Chicago. I was really surprised.

Thank you and all other colleagues which I forgot to mention.
Fahrradwerkstatt
What I’ve learned during the Corona Crisis (2)
I am a very privileged person and I am very grateful for that. The main reason for this is my background. Herkunft. In particular, the place where I was born. Wired.
Loosening the restrictions does not mean that the pandemic is over. They just mean that there’s a place for you in the ICU right now.
Having a real Büro in our house was pure luxury in the past. Now it is the main reason why we can work as good as in the office.
Working from home (5)
Week #6: I survived the sixth week of working from home because of the Corona virus pandemic. The work volume and intensity remain high. It seems to me that we communicate much more than if we were not working from home. To the list of communication tools this week we add the good old GoToMeeting, BlueJeans (InterCall) and StarLeaf (never heard of before). If my kids were smaller they would think I was a phone/video operator.

Week #5: I survived the fifth week of working from home because of the corona-virus pandemic. Working? Well, first were the Easter holidays, then I had the rest of the week off at home. As planned we did a culinary tour of Italy, with Prosecco, Vitello Tonato, Pizza, Carpaccio, Spaghetti, Seafood Salad, Gnocchi, Lugana, grilled Scampi, Gorgonzola, Espresso, Limoncello and many other delicacies.
