Working from home (6)

Week #7: I survived the seventh week of working from home because of the Corona virus pandemic. I always complain here how bad I am, how exhausting it is, and what can go wrong. This is high-level whining.

I always complain here how bad I am, how exhausting it is, and what can go wrong. This is high-level whining. I am fully aware of how privileged we are. That we still have interesting jobs and get a salary that makes a living. Work from the comfort of our own homes. Can stay in touch with our colleagues, friends and families through technology. We can buy almost everything in the supermarket (except toilet paper, flour and yeast), have 99.9% supply of electricity, running water and heating. Our house is big enough that we can avoid each other. We can go outside, into the garden, or take a walk, ride a bike, even eat ice cream. My children can go to school (actually they don’t go there anymore, but you know what I mean). Our hospitals are top and especially the intensive care units are still available in more than sufficient numbers. And public holidays.

I am grateful. Have a nice Labour Day tomorrow!
